Day 1: Zagreb
Arrival in Zagreb and transfer to the hotel.
Day 2: Zagreb
After breakfast, our walk tour starts from Lower City. We will visit the Botanical Garden, the old University Library, Mimara Museum, Croatian National Theater, University of Zagreb and Zrinjevac Park. The walk continues to Gornji grad (Upper City), on Sv. Marko Square where Sabor (the Croatian Parliament), Banski dvori (Croatian Government), and Sv. Marko Church are located, followed by Lotrscak Tower. Our walking tour continue through Jezuitski Square and Kamenita vrata (Stone Gate), then through Radiceva Street to Ban J. Jelacic Square and Mandusevac Fountain, and finally a visit to the Zagreb Cathedral. Lunch in a restaurant. After lunch a visit of Maksimir, the oldest public cultivated park in Europe that represents a shelter for many plant and animal species. Dinner in hotel. Overnight.
Day 3: Zagreb – Hrvatsko Zagorje
After breakfast, departure for Hrvatsko zagorje. First stop is Kumrovec, an ethno village on the Sutla River and the birthplace of Marshal Tito. Kumrovec is known for its unique open-air museum and well preserved, typical rural houses of Hrvatsko zagorje. This is followed by sightseeing of Miljana Castle, former summer residence of the Ratkay family, then sightseeing of Veliki Tabor Castle, the best-preserved medieval fortress in Croatia, also owned by the Ratkay family, and lunch in the restaurant. After lunch a visit to Trakoscan Castle, former residence of the Draskovic family, nowadays one of Croatia's most beautiful castles and museums with preserved furniture and weapons from the period from the 15th to the 19th century. Return to Zagreb. Dinner in hotel. Overnight.
Day 4: Zagreb – Plitvice
After breakfast departure for guided tour Plitvice National Park listed in UNESCO’s World Heritage list, the breathtaking scenery of this natural wonder of 16 terraced lakes surrounded linked by a series of waterfalls and cascades to form a chain through a wooded valley. Lunch in restaurant. In the late afternoon departure for Zagreb. Dinner in local restaurant. Overnight in hotel.
Day 5: Zagreb - Return home
After breakfast check out. Return home.
